We believe in the Bible as the sole rule of our faith!

The Bible:The Bible is God’s inspired Word and is the only reliable source of knowledge about God and salvation; it is our foundation for what we believe and how we live. II Tim 3:15-16; II Peter 1:19-21; Ps 119:105

God:We believe in a loving God and Father, in His Son Jesus Christ, and in the Holy Spirit; three separate eternal persons, yet one in character and purpose.  Mt 28:1, 20; Jn 17:21,22; I Jn 5:7

Creation and the Sabbath:God, in the person of His Son, created this world in six literal days, and rested the seventh day. God established the Sabbath at creation week to remind us of Him. Believers throughout the Bible kept the 7th day Sabbath as a day of worship and rest including our Savior and Paul. Gen 1-2:1-3; Mk 2:27-28; Ex 20:8-11; Lk 4:16; Jn 1:1-3, 10; Lk 23:56; 24:1; Acts 17:2; 13:42-3.

Sin and Law:Sin is the willful violation of God’s Law. The Ten Commandments express the unchangeable will of God. This law does not save us; it only informs us. If we fully surrender to God’s Spirit, we can live victoriously. Heb 9:26; I Jn 3:4;
Jn 1:29; 8:11; Mt 5:17-19; Rom 3:20; Jn 15:5; Jude 24

Salvation:We accept the death of Jesus Christ as a complete atonement for our sins, and we may come directly to our Savior in confession and repentance to receive forgiveness. Christ is our High Priest and Mediator in heaven. I Cor 15:3; II Cor 5:21; Mk 10:45; Jn 3:16; Acts 3:19; I Jn 1:9;2:1; Heb 8:1,2

Christ’s Second Coming:We look forward to the literal, soon return of Jesus – visible to all. Jn 14:1-3; Acts 1:11; Mt 24:33; Tit 2:13; Rev 1:7; 1 Thess 4:16-18

Death:We believe that death has been conquered by our risen Savior. Death is an unconscious sleep in which the dead cannot communicate with the living. Believers are raised to eternal life at Christ’s second coming, the first resurrection. The unsaved are raised in the second resurrection at the end of the Millennium to face the second death, which is final. Job 14:15-16; Ps 6:5; 115:17; Mt 28:6; I Thess 4:13-18; I Cor 15:51-55; Acts 24:15; Jn 5:28-29; Rev 20:5,6

The New Earth:We look forward to God restoring our world to the beauty of Eden.  This earth cleansed by fire and recreated at the end of the millennium will be our eternal home.  II Pet 3:9-13; Is 65:17-25; Rev 21:1-4; Mt 5:5

Hell Fire:The Bible teaches that a loving God will not eternally torture those who reject the Savior’s offer of pardon. The wages of sin is eternal death of both soul and body. Rom 6:23; Jn 3:16; Rev 20:9; Mal 4:1-3; Mt 13:40; 10:28; Js 5:20

Spiritual Life:Feeding our spiritual life is done by daily prayer, Bible study, sharing our faith, and uniting with others for worship, study and fellowship. Ps 55:16-17; Mt 4:4; Mk 5:19; Heb 10:25

Stewardship:We remember God as we handle the money that He entrusts to us, returning to Him His tithe, the tenth of our increase, and giving offerings as He prospers us. Mal 3:8-10; Mt 23:23; I Cor 9:13-14; II Cor 9:7

Healthful Living:Our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, so we choose to live healthfully, abstaining from alcohol, tobacco, caffeine, other addictive drugs, and foods God declares to be harmful. Rm 12:1; Pr 23:29ff; I Cor 6:19ff; 10:31; Lev 11; Deut 14

Clean Living:We want to honor Christ in our behavior, dress and deportment, and guard our minds by choosing carefully what we read, watch, listen to, and who we allow to influence us, recognizing that we are made up of what we take in.  I Jn 2:15; Js 1:27; 4:4; Phil 4:8

Marriage:The Bible teaches that marriage is good. It is a permanent union of a man and a woman. All other arrangements are forbidden by God.  Gen 2:24; Mt 19:5;  1 Cor 6:9; Ex 20:14; Heb 13:4

Spiritual Gifts:We believe that all the gifts of the Holy Spirit are essential, and that each member needs to use his/her gift to carry the gospel to the world and edify others within the church.  I Cor 1:7; 12:7-31; Eph 4:8-14; Joel 2:28,29; 1 Thess 5:19-22

Our Job in this World:In every generation God has had a special message of warning and invitation for the world. Noah, Elijah, Moses, and John the Baptist each gave a message from God for their times. God’s last day people are clearly described as “keeping the commandments of God and having the faith of Jesus.” They proclaim a final message of warning and hope to the world, inviting all to be prepared for Christ’s soon return. Rev. 10; 12:17; 14:6-14; Mt 28:19-20

Baptism: Persons publicly proclaim their changed life in Christ and acceptance of His offer of salvation through baptism by immersion, following Jesus’ example. Rom 6:3-5; Mt 3:13-16; 28:19-20; Acts 8:36-38
